Stratford-Upon-Avon, 07-12 December 2024

50 junior students and four teachers of Victor & Hélène Basch went on a 6-day learning trip to England. This gave them the occasion to know more about the English way of life and to discover a variety of places through different visits : the impressive and well-decorated castle of Warwick, Stratford and its medieval houses or the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. We unanimously loved the lively and multi-faceted city of Birmingham with its Christmas markets and the centuries-old colleges of Oxford.

Here are a few photos & comments from the students :

Yasmine : « First, we took the ferry, it was very stressful (due to the storm), but, because we were a lot, we played games, laughed and got to know each other. »
Morgane : « For the ferry, I recommend taking medication even if you think you are not seasick ! »
Elena : « The lady who hosted us had a very strong English accent, but we still managed to understand her. »
Lilou : « We didn’t need to speak much English, but the little we had to say went well & we managed to communicate.»
Lohan : « What I didn’t like was the weather, it was too cold, and also, in the morning, we were dropped off early.»
Nell : « What I enjoyed most during this trip, was discovering new things and the friendliness of the locals ! »
Stanis : « The one thing that I was disappointed with, was not having done Stonehenge (because of the storm).»
Giovanni : « If I had to recommend a visit, that would be Oxford as the universities are something no to be missed.»
